Hello, my name is Nicole Chouinard. I was born here in Fredericton, however I have lived in different towns where my father was in the army. Which brings me to my new journey. I am very excited to be part of team here at Sunny Days. Currently I am working with the 2s, and it is very rewarding work. I am enjoying it very much!

I have always had a passion to work with children and have been working with them off and on for over 15 years. I started with babysitting my younger sister, to people in the community, to volunteering in churches and working in other daycare centers. After all these years, I decided to go back to school and get my ECE diploma through NBCC, back in 2014

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, taking walks with my dog, and being out on the boat.

Hi! My name is Mallory Urquhart. I was born here in Fredericton and have lived in the Taymouth region my whole life. As a child I spent weeks/months at the IWK as a patient. While I was at the IWK I helped out a lot with the younger children in the playroom, this is where I found my passion for working with children. I also babysat my siblings and family friend's children, from the age of 12 years old.

I started at Sunny Days last February, as a Co-Op student. This is when I found that I loved working in the daycare environment! I graduated from Leo Hayes June 2016, and worked as a supply at Sunny Days since.

Currently I am one of the Preschool teachers! I love teaching the children and being able to be a positive role model for them. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, or snuggled up watching a movie!

I look forward to forming relationships with the children at Sunny Days!

My name is Tanner Wilson. I was born and raised in fredericton, New Brunswick with the exception of a two year stay in Ontario. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Thomas University in May 2016.
Since a young age I have had a passion for working with children. I started assisting dance classes and babysitting at the age of 12. Soon after I began teaching my own dance classes.
Currently I am one of three junior nursery teachers. I love getting messy and exploring all new ways of learning. I am also a competitive dance teacher by night. It's safe to say I do not have a lot of spare time, but if I do you can find me trying new recipes, reading, watching Netflix, snuggling my cat (Theo), or eating ice cream.

I look forward to caring for your children,

The Lord is great and I am excited to begin my journey with the Sunny Days Crew.  I am a very active mother of two boys so I am no stranger to always being on the move and keeping up with my boys.  I love children, especially those with added special needs and challenges.  I do not shy from a challenge and hard-work.  New challenges brings new perspectives in understanding little ones and it is fact that children learn at their own level and no child is the same.  Coming from a different country, I learned the differences in teaching styles and comprehension with children.  I love the way children are open and honest and are very sharp at who is genuine and who is not.  I hope to learn from them while at the same time teaching them in ways that they are apt to understand on their level.

Sally Hovey

Hello!  My name is Sally Hovey, and I am new to the Sunny Days Team.  I was born in Fredericton and have lived in Nashwaaksis for nearly 40 years.  I owned and operated my own preschool program, New Friends Preschool,  for three and four year olds in my home.  For 20 years now I have been better known as “Mrs. Hovey”to many children, adults and teachers.   Over 400 children passed through my doors as I prepared them for kindergarten.  I began my preschool when my youngest daughter was three years old, so I have never been away from “that 3 year old voice”.  When my husband and I decided to downsize, I knew my preschool had to go and I was contemplating retirement, but after only a few months, I knew I wasn’t ready to give it up yet.

In my spare time I enjoy sewing, baking, reading and spending time at my cottage with family and friends.
I am very excited to be joining the Sunny Days Team and meet new children to love, laugh with, explore and teach.  There is something new to discover every day!

Have a great day!
